The smartphone evolution is moving so fast, and lots of new development is happening. No sooner than one phone is out in the market, there is speculation for the next big thing. The current pandemic might have lowered many things, but it didn’t stop the smartphone manufacturers from developing new phones and releasing them in the market. People have already seen the Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, Xiaomi M1 11, and Oppo Find X3 Pro.
Many new arrivals are expected from Samsung, Google, Apple in the remaining 2021 and 2022. These upcoming smartphones will add to the already impressive list of phones in the market. These new smartphones are expected to offer innovations in mobile technology and will bring a new edge to the smartphone industry from design, cameras, performance, and features. The battery technology will also see an improvement too with software enhancements. The users will see foldable designs are becoming more durable and cheaper. Here is the list of upcoming smartphones, along with details and leaks we know so far. Nothing can be confirmed till now regarding most of the smartphones till the official announcements are made.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 –
The phone will have a big foldable screen, and as per rumors, it might support Samsung’s Pen stylus with an in-screen camera and have an RGB light strip on its hinge. The feature includes a 7.60-inch touchscreen primary display and a resolution of 2208×1768 pixels, and as a 2nd display is a 6.20-inch touchscreen, with a resolution of 832×2268 pixels. The phone comes in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations. 12-megapixel rear cameras with a wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lens, a 4-megapixel sensor beneath the pixels, a 10-megapixel camera on the cover screen are in the phone.
The phone is available in seven colors grey, pink, white, black, green, purple, and gold. Both the 256GB and 512GB configurations phones’ preorders have begun. The 256GB model is priced at $1,799.99 and the 512GB model at $1,899.99. The phone will ship from 27 August 2021.
Apple iPhone 13 –
As per rumors, the phone will release in September. iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 pro max will be releasing along with iPhone 13. Many online leaks have suggested in-screen fingerprint scanners, face cam, better MagSafe, Always-on-display, and integrated Touch ID. The Touch ID will be allowed to unlock the phone while wearing face masks.
The battery capacity of the phone is expected to increase. Notch size is expected to decrease in the new phone. The camera is also changed, with better night mode on the wide-angle lens and an improved zoom system. There would also be improvements in the video quality like fancy portrait mode background blur, higher-quality ProRes recording for videos, and a new set of filters. The price of the phone will be expected to be the same as per rumors. The iPhone 13 models may arrive at the same price as iPhone 12. It will have a better 5G connectivity.
Microsoft Surface Duo 2 –
After many rumors, the Surface Duo finally went on sale in September 2020. The initial launch was done only in the US, but slowly it was made available in 13 countries. This is a compelling first-generation folding phone. As per rumors, Microsoft is working on the phone for quite some time and soon will launch Surface Due 2. As per few reports, the phone will launch this fall. The phone would see a triple rear camera setup and NFC support with the latest flagship processor Snapdragon 888, which is expected to bring 5G and will run Android 11. Users would see improved photography and data speed.
Google Pixel 6 –
The phone will have a bigger 6.7-inch and sharper 1440p display of a higher 120Hz refresh rate, and the vanilla Pixel 6 will have a 90Hz 1080p 6.4-inch screen. The pro model will have a 48MP 4x telephoto camera and 12MP ultrawide. A better image sensor will capture 150% more light, which means better photos, particularly in a low situation. The Pro model will have a 4x optical zoom. Pixel 6 Pro will also have a bigger 5,000mAh battery if leaks are to be believed.
Google will be using its custom-made Tensor system-on-a-chip. Several demos were presented to the media to demonstrate the Tensor’s prowess, including photography enhancements, live translation, and speech recognition. This will be the 1st phone to run in Android 12, which would allow the option to create an entire interface theme based on the dominant colors of the image user chooses for background wallpaper. That customization will be seen in a new design language in Android 12 that is called Material You. The phone is expected to release in fall 2021.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra –
The phone will arrive next year as per leaks and is expected to release February or March. As per reports, Samsung will bring a 6.01-inch Galaxy S22, a 6.55-inch Galaxy S22+, and a 6.81-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra model. Sport 120Hz refresh rates will be there in all Galaxy S22 series, as per reports, and the Ultra model will be the only one with QHD+ resolution and an LTPO panel. Improved battery life will also be there.
As per speculations, the vanilla Galaxy S22 would be the smallest Galaxy S device since Galaxy S10e (2019). In terms of camera Galaxy S22 and S22+ to have all new 50MP 1/1.55-inch main sensors, 12MP ultrawide cam, 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The S22 Ultra will have a 108MP main cam, three 12MP auxiliary sensors, a periscope with 10x optical zoom, a short telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide snapper. The battery capacities on both S22 models will be at 3,800 mAh and 4,000 mAh, and the S22 Ultra will have 5,000 mAh cells. Beyond the camera, major design and feature changes are there. In the Galaxy S22 line, there will be a range of handsets.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE –
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone is in the news for some time. Some of the reports have suggested what would the features be like. On the other hand, many reports have suggested that the company may well suspend the Galaxy S20 FE successor owing to the ongoing global chip shortage. Samsung has made it clear that no decision has been made so far.
As per leaks, the phone will come with a 6.40-inch touchscreen display, run Android, and is expected to be powered by a 4500mAh battery. It will support wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging with a triple camera setup. It is rumored to sport a single camera setup for selfies, with a dual SIM that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards and launch in White, Light Violet, Light Green, and Gray. The connectivity would include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. The phone will have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space. If leaks are believed, then the phone will have two variants 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. As far as the battery is concerned, the phone will likely come with a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology. The phone is expected to launch next year.
