COVID Covid-19 Health News

Many ignoring their second dose of Covid-19 Vaccine!

Recently, it was reported by USA officials that many people are skipping their second dosage of the vaccination and this rate is hiking day by day. More than five million people, or nearly around 8 percent ones have received the first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. However, they have missed their second doses, as per the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is more than double the rate amongst individuals who got immunized during the several initial weeks of the countrywide vaccination campaign.

This is a major problem faced by the USA and the state is wrestling with the problem of millions of people who are wary about getting vaccinated at all. The local health authorities are tackling this evolving challenge of assuring the people who got vaccinated are doing so fully. However, it can be said that the reasons people are missing their second shot of vaccination may be different.  As per the interviews taken, it was clarified by the individuals that few of them have fears of the side effects. Also, the others skipping further doses of the covid-19 clarify that they find themselves to be sufficiently protected with a single shot.

Such kind of clarifications were expected, but, on the other hand, it is a major hurdle going to be surprisingly prevalent. Thus, many of the vaccine providers have canceled second-dose appointments, as they are facing the collapse of supply and also they do not have the right brand in the stock. Walgreens, one of the major vaccine providers, has given few of the people who received the first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine to get their second doses at pharmacies.
